Here is some recent customer reviews of the Onkyo Ht-s7300

Ormondo Says:

This is the perfect size for my living room and looks really stylish. Once you run the Audyssey setup the sound is amazing.

I have an HTPC, PS3, TW Cable and iPod connected up to this without any issues. I control this all with the Harmony 900 and the system seems happy.

The amp does run hot, but so does most of my other equipment. Just exercise some sense here and dedicate a well ventilated shelf to it don’t put anything on top of it.

I also connected up the zone 2 speakers for outside so I have a 5.1 setup inside with the remaining 2 outside. This is great because I can control the volume inside the house separately from the outside for parties. The only downfall for this is that the second zone will ONLY play from an analog input. I wish I had known that but after some investigation there are very few if any amps that can play digital through the second zone. This ended up not being as big an issue as I had at first expected though. I ended up connecting my HTPC over analog stereo as I play most of my music through that. Now, when watching a movie on the computer it would only be in stereo and not full surround sound on the remaining 5 speakers inside. This was no problem for the Onkyo Ht-S7300 though as it can upmix the stereo to 5.1 surround again and does a great job of it. I really would not be able to tell the difference between true 5.1 surround and the upmixed stereo. Very happy with how it turned out.

I looked around for a new surround sound for a while now i went to all the BIG NAME STORES.. and nothing compared to the price of the Onkyo Ht-s7300 !! I have to admit i was kinda worried ordering electronics on AMAZON.. but don’t be!! the box came to my house in perfect conduction and set up is very easy… but make sure you have HDMI CABLES..if not things could be tricking.. so far nothing is wrong.. and NASCAR has not been the SAME.. lol..

Aron Says:

Amazing Room filling sound!

I went back and forth between the Onkyo Ht-s7300 and the Onkyo HT-S5300. In the end I decided to save couple hundred bucks and go with this unit and it definitely was the right decision. The speakers put out deep room filling sound in my approximate 17×27 space. The sub woofer is actually SO powerful that the Audessy system preset it at -14db, and when I tried turning it up, to -3db, it became so overwhelmingly powerful that I had to turn it back down.

All in all this is an attractive powerful and clear system. Highly recommended.
